Many people don’t think about what they say when they go out to eat.
Yet when you are visiting another country you can’t use your native language.
Stop and think about phrases that you couldn’t live without.
If you are speaking English as a Second Language, what are phrases that you think are very important.
Please tell me any websites that might some ideas too.
"this is good food"
"you are a good cook"
"can I have the recipe for this?"

My sister got this problem in her school for a optional question and who ever has solved it gets a treat. But yeah, my sister said that it’s something in between the book that they put in purposely so they know its their copy. Thank you to whoever can solve this as my sister really wants to know!
Hi Republic
Copyright is a form of intellectual property which gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for a certain time period in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation.
For a publishers of dictionaries, if any one has copy more then 70% same with the original work without permission or without puting refrences is consider as copyrighted.
Copyright is something that is implied when something is written. It’s automatic. However many want to have more protection than that. Some copyright a book by sending it to themselves in a sealed envelope. When it comes back to them, the postal mark on the package has a date. As long as the package is not opened, some accept this as a way to copyright a book, but it might not stand up in court if there is a problem.

– Eric

I know its been asked, I discovered when I Googled it. But it needs more though.Don’t fall back on ancient doctrines use original thinking. Its a philosophical question. Once you classify it as a religious question, you’ve lost it.
If you fall back on the doctrine that we were created in God’s image, then the conclusion God is imperfect. Then you need to determine the nature of God. Is it separate from the universe, or is it the universe?
God DID create a perfect world and man screwed it up real fast.

As in French verbs being grouped into ‘ending in -ir’ or ‘ending in -er’, which follow a regular pattern of conjugation. (I am aware that there are also ‘irregular’ French verbs that do not follow a specific pattern)
Wikipedia has an article about that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_verb_conjugation

So i have a test coming up and my french teacher is really mean and thinks that we are all stupid so i wanna get 100% so what are some tricks that help you conjugate a verb in french? I don’t understand it but she wont explain it to us! Please help!
french verbs can be classified into three groups :
1st group : verbs ending with er (also called regular verbs)
2nd group : verbs with participe present ending with "issant" like finir (en finissant)
3rd group : whichever verb that doesn’t belong to the first two groups
1st group (the easiest and most common french verbs)
present simple : you keep the verb (without er) and add : e, es, e, ons, ez, ent like chanter : je chantE, tu chantES, il chantE, nous chantONS, vous chantEZ, ils chantENT
futur : you keep the verb and add, ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont : je chanterAI, tu chanterAS, il chanterA, nous chanterONS, vous chanterEZ, ils chnaterONT
imparfait : you keep the verb (without er) and add ais, ais, ait, ions, iez, aient : je chantAIS, tu chantAIS, il chantAIT, nous chantIONS, vous chantIEZ, ils chantAIENT
passé simple : you keep the verb without er and add ai, as, a, âmes, âtes, èrent : je chantAI, tu chantAS, il chantA, nous chantÂMES, vous chantÂTES, ils chantèRENT.
of course there are always some exceptions to the rule like Aller :
present simple : je vais, tu vas, il va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont
imparfait : j’allais, tu allais, il allait, nous allions, vous alliez, ils allaient
passé simple : j’allai, tu allas, il alla, nous allâmes, vous allâtes, ils allèrent
futur : j’irai, tu iras, il ira, nous irons, vous irez, ils iront
for the verbs belonging to the second and third groups, you need to learn them by heart.

I continuously have to stop reading since I miss to many words. I would like to learn a lot of vocabulary in 1 year. Any suggestions?
hey, your from quito, equador? (i saw it off some other question you had anwered) cool me too…hehe. anyways, if you want to enhance your english aside from reading one too many books, you should try Skype, its this type of messenger that you can log in for free. in fact, you can also talk to people using the mic from your computer to anyone world wide for free. thats how i keep in contact with my family in the states while im studying here in italy.
i recommend you it because there are many people that have chatted with me on skype to better their language, they do it on purpose for that reason, so maybe it can also help you.
hope this helps!

Im reviewing for my test and I see the different sentences, but I cant seem to understand why the sentence uses hätte and not wäre. I was just wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks !
It would be helpful to see the sentence, but anyway, here you are:
hätte is used for verbs that take haben: wenn ich Zeit hätte… (if I had time)
wäre is used for verbs that take sein: wenn ich reich wäre (if I were rich)
hope that helps

You’ve probably heard that one before.
Are you a gullible person?
I am, I believe everything.
Really? =p
I can be, depends on the day
Storytime:
A friend of mine’s teacher, every day, would tell her gullible was written on the ceiling…and every day she’d look, and it wouldn’t be there. One day, he says it to her, and she says "no way. I know your tricks, it isn’t there!" Teacher says, "seriously, look up." She looks, and…the teacher wrote it on the ceiling
